Dr. Seuss was born on March 2nd and his given name was Theodor Seuss Geisel.
This month, we are enjoying his humour, and the way that he played with words as we share his books in our classroom.
When we think of Dr. Seuss (a title he gave himself), we often think of his character The Cat in the Hat. The students did a directed drawing and then painted!
That Cat brought Thing One and Thing Two into the house and there was a little bit of trouble because of it! The students created one of those characters. Can you see what they used to make the hair?
They wrote about the characters, too.
Adults love Dr. Seuss books too! We had Mrs. Gumpinger in to read her absolute favourite book!
We are continuing reading, and learning, and rhyming, and tongue twisting, and enjoying these books! We have been even taking them out of the library to read at home and when an adult is in the room, we choose Dr. Seuss books to read to them, too!
